Vickie McCardell, PHR, receives the 2007 Ron Shane HR Lifetime Achievement Award. At yesterday's Delaware State HR Conference, Frank B. Ingraham, Jr., SPHR and Delaware State HR Council Director, announced that Vickie was selected to receive the highest recognition in Delaware's HR community for her contribution to the profession. She is State HR Council Director-Elect, past-president of Delaware SHRM and Human Resources Manager at the International Reading Association. Congratulations! Link. The DOL has responded to the many complaints from employers looking to clarify the muddy waters of this complex issue! The newly proposed regulations contain changes to include new notice obligations for employers so that employees will better understand their FMLA rights, as well as revised employee notice rules to minimize workplace disruptions because of unscheduled FMLA absences.
